LIFE

I have an obession a couple childrens books. First is The Giving Tree, Where the Wild Ones Are, and all of the Eric Carl books. Growing up they were such a comfort to me. Reading and books in general. My mom taught us about life through books as well as music and movies.
I also have an obession with music and film. On my radio show with Emily on Thursday, we were talking about how we both have obsessions with our common passion in life and that is film. We discussed how film is art.
A film is not soley for entertainment but also to show a viewpoint, or an issue that is of high importance. I feel that people have shyed away from a deeper meaning and only want to watch t.v. or movies to unwind or relax- and this is sometimes good, but you also need to appreciate the art form of the film.
I think some of my favorite movies are centered around music, or a feeling, or a moment that I have had that was sparked by something in the movie. Fly Away Home, The Help, Inception, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter Series, The King's Speech, among others are all amazing films that can be recognized for other things within them besides jsut a great film to watch.

Top 5 Super Bowl Ads... The Best of the Best

So, as of most of America, I watched the Super Bowl on Sunday. I was routing for the Patriots and was sad when they lost against the Giants. I am a native Californian, so either team didn't really effect me, but I prefer the Patriots over the Giants.

I did enjoy the game, as well as the commercials and was sadly disappointed by the half-time show. The special effects were great, but the song choices and dancing were not up to par. Regarding the commercials, here are my ratings for my top Super Bowl ads.

HONORABLE MENTION
      Chevy Silverado "2012"
      WATCH HERE
This was very creative, but was a little boring, yet was still memorable.

NUMBER FIVE
      Doritos "Man's Best Friend"
      WATCH HERE
This was halarious and the overall concept was well thought out and executed beautifully.

NUMBER FOUR
      Budweiser "Prohibiton"
      WATCH HERE
Great concept, and the overall theme and idea behind it realy connected Budweiser to Americans.

NUMBER THREE
      Volkswagon "The Dog Strikes Back"
      WATCH HERE
Really cute, fun and could be watched over and over again without hating it.

NUMBER TWO
      Chevy Chevrolet "Happy Grad"
      WATCH HERE
Hits home, since I am a student and gives a funny perspective of your first car...

NUMBER ONE
      M&Ms "Ms. Brown"
      WATCH HERE
LOVED this one. Great use of music, dialogue, concept and can be watched many times.

That's it.... Talk to you all later...
Peace Out!

I love how this picture reminds me about growing up in California. It shws how my sisters and I use to dress up and play fairies. We would dance around our backyard and make up all of these stories and act them out. I think that this was when my love of art and film came alive. It sparked in me my creative side to create your own world and wants and dreams and act them out for an audience or even just for yourself.

My Life in Color

I love film, art and music. Recently I have re-watched the film, Bridesmaids. It was one of the funniest, and probably most inappropriate movies for anyone under 18 to watch. I liked how funny it was, but at the same time at times it was sad and made you not want your life to end up like the characters in the film...
I hope to one day be a producer and make movies trailers and direct movies. What are some of your dreams and aspirations? This is a question to all of my readers....all none of them...
