Hey!
So every week I am a radio show on campus at Iona Colege with my partner, Emily Lee. We talk about a lot of different things mostly music, movies, books, twitter, media, etc. We love sharing new music and sharing our opinions on the air. We started this show this year as a requirement- but I have really grown to love it. I hope that I will becoem further involved next year, and we are thinking about continuing are program. Eventhough we only have a few days left of classes and then finals, we will be having our last show this Thursday (tomorrow) at 3 pm. Due to finals we are not having one :( But, hopefully next year everyone tunes in every week. So listen to our last show! It will be really entetaining and super fun! Ti listen just go to Iona.edu and type in WICR radio and a page will come up and direct you how to listen. Tweet at us! @E2WICR

MAAC Rowing Championships
This weekend the Iona College Rowing team went to MAAC-
Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships. We have both a women’s and
men’s team that did very, very well. As a whole out of the thirteen events we
entered we melded in eight of them. We have our first Gold medal since 2004 for
the team by the Women’s Pair, and it also was the first Gold medal fro the
Women since 1999. The Men’s Varsity 8 was the fastest ever in Iona Rowing
history. Our team is very young, mostly comprised of sophomores and freshmen,
so the outlook for next season is extremely good. The team is excited to be
taking boats to Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia on May 11 & 12. We are
taking three women’s boats: Varsity Women’s Pair, Novice Women’s 4, and
Lightweight Women’s 4. The men are taking: Men’s Novice 4, Men’s Lightweight 4,
Men’s Varsity Pair, Men’s Varsity 4. The team is excited to race, compete and
do well at this upcoming Regatta and prove Iona Rowing program is a force to be
reckoned with.
